"My sister had you do a piece of my father, brother and myself. I wanted to tell you how grateful I am for the effort you put forth on the painting. I got very emotional when I first saw it and reflected back to the day l Iast played golf with my dad and brother. you captured the moment beautifully. The painting is proudly displayed right at my front door for all to see. Thank you for giving me a lasting memory."

"I got your painting of Meanie in the mail today - thank you so much!! I love it, and I know Meanie would too. It looks just like my hammie! This painting  brings me lots of smiles, especially since my dwarf hamster passed away a few months ago. I love how you painted the background almost like a "rainbow bridge."  Gosh I can't stop smiling.  Thank you MJ!"

"What a lovely rendition of our dear old friend Lightning! You have captured his warm gaze and his shaggy coat to a T! He looks so real I can almost smell the old boy! Since he was a country dog, it's heartwarming to remember our pet as you have painted him, in a field of wildflowers against a perfect-day sky."

            Hi...I'm M.J. Lemieur

Why EXACTLY would you want to purchase a painting from me?

BECAUSE I believe my clients deserve the very best painting I can create for them. When you commission me to create some art, it will be more than just a painting... it will be an heirloom quality piece which will warmly remind you of a loved one, a special pet, or a treasured memory.

My paintings connect the viewer with the subject in a magical way... I can capture a person or pet's personality and expression so it shines through from the canvas!

QUALITY: Each portrait is meticulously handcrafted. I work on each commission for hours and hours, stroke by stroke, to create high quality, hand-painted artwork. This is not push-button art, or the cheap photo-manipulated canvases you see on the internet. Every stroke you see in your painting is carefully done by hand to bring you the highest quality in portrait art. You can see and feel the rich texture of paint on canvas and the unique style of my brushstrokes. When I send you the preliminary image, I want you to respond with suggestions for how you'd like it to be changed or modified to suit the idea you have in your mind. From my background in graphic design, I am used to designing and painting for my clients' exact needs. The many testimonials on my website confirm my attention to detail and a patient desire to "create a masterpiece." Read this testimonial from Lisa Campbell about her experience with me...

"For many years I had searched for an artist that could interpret and paint a historical family event for my art collection.  I recently met Mary Jill and was quite impressed with her artwork.  I relayed to her my dream of having a painting commissioned to honor the memory of a Native American Indian chief that had fallen in love with my great grandmother after having spied her on a wagon train passing through Oregon in 1847.

 M. J. enthusiastically accepted the project, and much to my delight, posted her artistic progress on the web for me to watch.  M. J. worked closely with me to understand the vision I had for the painting and used a photograph of the real chief to capture his essence.  M .J. did a fabulous job!  She brought to life Chief Five Crows holding council with his namesakes, perhaps discussing matters of the heart and the unrequited love he had for a woman named Lorinda.

Thank you M. J. for turning my dream into a reality on canvas. For anyone looking for a talented artist who is wonderful to work with, I highly recommend M.J. I promise you won’t be disappointed!"
